2008 GL1800 seat to a 2013?

Hello, I have a 2008 GL1800 with an Ultimate seat. I have been looking at buying a 2013 GL1800 and was wondering if the Ultimate seat could be a swap? Or is there a difference in seats between those years?

First of all, welcome to the forum.

I don't believe the seat will interchange, as the restyle of the bike makes the pan different.

There will be a gap between the side covers and the bottom edge of the seat. Maybe one to two inches wide. Pretty ugly. I put my Russell Day Long off of my 2007 on my 2013. Didn’t leave it on there though.
