Another big help is get a 1in board about 12 in long and run the rear tire on it before you do the deed. My 12 year old granddaughter can do it with both of those things done.

I struggle with it but I can still get it up! That said, I'd go so far as to say it's 90% technique. Have you seen Max MacAllister put the bike on the center stand with 2 guys still sitting on the bike!?Most of it is technique and not really strength. I remember with my 1500, even wearing Crocs, I could get it up on the center stand. It had more to do with pulling upwards on passenger handle rather than rocking it back and trying to muscle it.
If his wife can help put the trike on the center stand, stay far awayOn a trike?
They make pills for that!I struggle with it but I can still get it up!

If You Can't Put Your Bike on the Centerstand, It's Bad Technique!!!

And also make sure that both pads of center stand are on the ground first...I have always found it easy when I stand on the center stand and lift up on the passenger side seat handle and the handlebar grip.
I learned close to this. Get the bike standing up with both pads of the stand on the ground. Grab that seat handle and lock your shoulder and arm straight, then just stand up. That uses your legs for lifting. I will do it carefully with running shoes, but my foot sure likes it better if I'm wearing boots.I have always found it easy when I stand on the center stand and lift up on the passenger side seat handle and the handlebar grip.
Very true, but this should be common since. And also make sure that both pads of center stand are on the ground first...
