Hey all! I've been riding my trusty black '94 ST1100 for 20+ years (70k miles) and now that we're empty-nesters, I decided to get something with a little more cushion for my lovely wife on the long hauls. Just picked it up in Arkansas this weekend and rode it over 400 miles to my home near Dallas.

I'm still pickin' the bugs outta my teeth from riding so many miles with a giant, $hit-eatin' grin on my face. What a great bike! Whoever gets bummed when their tank runs dry on long rides!? ...us 'wing riders, that's who! ...no more need to get off and walk around a bit.

Lookin' forward to the wealth of knowledge here and hope to supply some of my own before too long!

I was eyeing up the ride too, Charlie. Looks like a '66..........:geek:

I was thinking a '64. ;)
Certainly not going to argue "Old Iron" with you Kerry......but the 64's had two dimples in the front fenders on the side of the bodyline, and they were a bit more rounded shaped overall. The 66's had sharper edges and a clean bodyline on the sides...... also look at that front bumper.

Guess will wait for @peejmeister to chime in and set us straight.

Yup, you're correct. I missed the lack of dimples for sure!

Sharp eyes, gentlemen! That is my original, numbers-matching '66 Chevy II SS. Poor thing now has to compete with its stablemates for fresh air time. ;)
