2005 Goldwing has Big Bike Show Chrome windshield. I just bought this bike. When alone I can really feel the wind pushing at my back at hwy speeds. Yesterday my wife was riding with me for the first time and complained of a lot of wind turbulence. The windshield is raised as high as possible. My last bike was a Valkyrie Interstate with the same windshield and there was no problem at 70 mph. It had Air Wings, but they don't effect the high air(the problem). If my wife isn't happy, I'm not happy!

It's a motorcycle, expect wind!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can try the Tulsa windshield,http://www.allamericanprod.com/windshields.html#1800
They have several iuncluding an extra tall. Also their wind wings that goes under the mirrors work great in reducing the wind on the passanger. Kuryakyn make a rear windshield that goes behind the passanger http://wingstuff.com/pgroup_detail/191_Windshields/21094_Kuryakyn_GL1800_Rear_Pass_Wind_Deflector_In_Stock/?goto=/pgroup_list/gl1800/191_goldwing_Windshields/des/?page=1

People I know say the wind wings don't help a lot. My wife is short, 5' 2" and with the stock wind shield all the way up she is pretty good. Had my daughter on today and she is taller and felt more wind at her head. Some of the guys in our chapter have the F4 windshield and say it works pretty good. The other wind screen I am looking into is the National Cycle V Stream. http://www.chromeworld.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=6991&categoryID=46 It is supposed to change the size of the area behind the wind shield. Keeping the vent in the screen open a little bit helps to slow the air from filling the low pressure area and also helps lower the buffeting effect. The rear shield mentioned works....but I just can't get past the way it looks for me.

I know this is counterimplicitive but try lowering the windshield. It may brake up the low pressure area behind the schield. Oppenimg up the windshield vent may help as well.

I have been using the V Stream for about 2,000 miles now. It sits closer to me and is wider at the top which seems to push the air further around both mine and my wifes helmets. The boss on back is pleased with it so you know what that means, I am happy!
