I have a 1981 GL 1100 Standard, I'am in the process of restoring. What is the difference between an NGK D8ES and the DR8ES-L .My clymer manual says for US spec use the D8ES the UK spec use the DR8ES-L. I've checked several manuals and they all say something different.
So all you riders out there with you vast experiance, which plug should I use? The bike had some rusty DR8ES-L installed when I got it. This my first GL so this is a learning experiance for me.

Most times an R means resister plugs,

Recommendepdl ugs:
Standard:
X24ESR-U (ND) or DR8ES-L (NGK)
For cold climate: (Below 5"C,41'F)
x22ESR-U (ND) or DRTES (NGK)
For extended high speedd riding.
X27ESR-U (ND) or DR8ES (NGK)
