My friend has a 2005 wing and it came used with a small cable in the left side front fairing compartment. I thought it would be the AUX input that would plug into the iPhone, but the male part was too small for the phone.
Any ideas what this is for?
Thanks,
Danny

The cable end should be i-pod/i-phone/MP3 size right from the get go. However, if the receiver you want to plug into is a different size, pop into your local Radio Shack or electronis outlet and they should have a set of plug adapters that will fit. Just take the unit in with you to be sure.

Danny, some 1800's has them for heated apparel, I'm not sure about your friends, look to see if it is connected to 12 volts.

Chance are it's strictly an " input " jack for an i-Pod, etc. Whatever is plugged into it is outputted ( headset or external ) to the speakers with the [ AUX ] button on the radio dash.
