Hi again everyone,
Just an update on my progress and the next obstical I've met,
Ok so here's my story so far , bikes been lying up in a shed about 10 years I was told , no keys when I bought it, got that sorted...all seems fine electrically....put some oil down the cylinders , left it a few days and pulled plugs and its turning over fine , compression test showing roughly 150 on all 4.. soon as I put plugs in , hit the started it barely turns and knocks out the lights , tried the battery from.my car and same thing happens....is it a bad ground??? Now I noticed the choke lever is stuck in fully up position so I may strip the carb manifold I guess and check all that out..
Anyone any ideas on why it won't spin the engine with plugs in???
All help appreciated guys and gals .
Thanks again
Ken

Try running a ground wire from the negative terminal to the starter case.

Hi cantanketous,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried what you said and I think its bad grounds because I got a better turn over on it. Thanks so much for your help.
