I see several complaints about trikes getting poor milage with only a couple hundred pounds of additional weight added by the kit. I would contact your conversion company and ask about the rear end gear ratio change in the differential.
Plus, you should see the MPG on my Ford, 350 Super Duty, 4x4 Quad cab pick up. Quit bitch in and ride.

When I did the conversion on my 1500 my mileage dropped by about a third.

Typical mileage ratings will be in the 34-38 mpg range so in general 4 mpg drop due to wind resistance. Weight has almost no effect as it is the extra width and tire drag that will reduce the figures. Some trikes are better than others in this respect due to design differences. It also makes a difference on what motorcycle is used. My Valkyrie got poor mileage as a two wheeler and now gets just as poor as a trike even though the mileage drop was zero (29 mpg) The goldwings seem to suffer the most as they already have plenty of wind resistance built in. It's life, live with it. :)
