Had my bike towed in to Dealer, was told bike had a Code 5 fuel injection problem. After they investigated they said it was a "ghost" signal. They reset, checked it out....no problems!! Picked it up, drove about 15 miles to home. Next morning drove less than 1/2 a mile from home and it died. Now the fuel injection light stayed on....no code. Turned bike off for 5 min., on restart light went out, bike started. Got about 6 miles from home...died again on 55mph freeway. Sat for 5 min., on restart light went out (FI). Took 45 min. to go 8 more miles, stalled repeatedly, had to turn off bike for minimum five minutes, on restart fuel ig. light would go out, bike would start. Burned through 1/4 of a tank of gas going @12 miles. Made it to Dealer....that's where it sits!!!!
So after two weeks of owning a GW I've had it all of 3 days. Anyone else have this problem??

It's not a fuel injector light, it's a mal function indicator light, when it comes on you count the number times it flashes, that is a code to what is wrong, in the manuel it tells you what the codes means, the instructions for getting the code is in the shop manuel on 3-7. if your dearler doesn't know this I would find another dealer. It's like the check engine light in your car, when it comes on it can mean a lot of different things. If it happens again, pull off the road, leave the engine running and put the bike in neutral, then lower the side stand. This will reflash the code so you can figure out what is causing it.
