The stock speakers are ok, do get me wrong here but I would like to get a more crisp sound with some thump. The stocks can only do so much. I'm assuming the stock ones are paper cones. Where can I get some really good replacements?

If you are serious about good quality, look at helmet or earbud.

Anything else under 6 1/2 inch speakers leaves us wanting and unless you want to give up your side saddlebags, 6 1/2 just won't fit anywhere else.

I spent money on upgraded speakers all the way around and it still isn't what I had hoped for and I wasn't asking for much.

Maybe someone here found the right ones, but I would seriously reconsider something in the helmet or settle for what you got. Anything I have tried was a waste of money.

Polk makes some Goldwing speakers that at least one rider I know of has found them superior to the stock. Here is one review web post: http://goldwing.eurekaboy.com/stereoupgrade.htm . Don't blame me for it accuracy and final performance of the product. Check the options available at WingStuff first: http://wingstuff.com/pgroup_list/gl1800/331_goldwing_speakers/des/
Thanks for the link. It's a little more time than I want to spend putting in speakers. I just want to plug and play. Has anybody bought these?

They get really good reviews.
