I was out for a ride last night and the left front speaker started popping with a bit of static. The volume would lower for a bit then come back up instantly. When I tried the mute button nothing changed maybe would some extra static. Any Ideas? I thought it might be a blown speaker but that doesn’t count for the other oddities. The bike isn’t a year old yet (2010)

Take it in under warranty. Sounds like the radio amp is going bad.

I made the call to them just waiting to hear back, hoping to get a few ideas first.

If it's popping there's something either loose or a connection that's imparting static into the system. Let your dealer do the warranty claim.

Was out on Friday and It was doing the something as Thursday, not surprising. I stopped in at the dealer so he could hear it for himself. No answer but will look into it. Went out today for 7hrs and not once did it make a pop or static of any kind so now I’m really confused. I’m glad the shop heard it though. I’m thinking bad connection somewhere.
