Hi fellow Wingers,
I have a 1984 Aspencade and the wires running from the battery to the rectifier have been splice and taped back together.
Would it be better to solder and tape back together or can I use spades and tape together.
The spades would be eaiser for me but I want to do it the best way for the bike
Thanks In advance,
Donald Lang

I would solder and use shrink wrap around the solder.

When say shrink wrap do mean a shrink wrap tape and where do you get it.
Thanks,
Donald
You can get shrink wrap tubes in various diameters at Home Depot in the Electric Dept. Put it on the wire somewhere back beyond the solder splice. After the splice, move the tube back over the solder connection and use a Bic Lighter to " shrink " over the soldered connection.
