I just bought a 1993 Goldwing Interstate. There is a silver dial right below the ignition switch. I cannot tell that it does anything when I turn the dial. I was doing the disassembly necessary to check the air cleaner and noticed that it is a rotary device that has multiple wires connected to it. There were several wires that had become disconnected. Does anyone know what this dial is for? There is nothing in the owners manual describing what this dial does. Thanks.

Do you have speakers in the back of the bike?
Could be a fader knob that was put there by the previous owner.

Yes, I do have speakers in the back. That makes sense that it is a fader control. I will give it a try and see if that is what it controls. I have not been using the radio much yet. THANKS.
