From what I have been reading you really need to pay attention to the lean of the bike when hooked up to a side car. It can affect the pull of the bike while driving. One way or another. In other words if the bike pulls one way to much while driving you may need to have the way the bike leans in relation to the sidecar adjusted to fix that. The operation of the bike will change completely. You need to go a whole lot slower around corners and in turns. If you are running spoke wheels they need to be checked to make sure they are the heavier gauge spokes. And they need to be checked and/or adjusted every 500 miles. Hope this helps.anyone have any opinions on adding a side car to a gl1800? How do they handle? any one type better than the other??do you need a special license?
