Just curious about what kind of gas mileage other Goldwings are getting.

I always use premium fuel in my '08 and with 3700 miles on it so far, I'm getting an average 42 mpg when I ride with friends (typically 70-80 mph with 95% on open highways) and if I take backroads and drive conservatively (55-65 mph), I can average 46-47 mpg.

Personally, I'm very pleased with my mileage since the official Honda website specs for the 2010 Goldwing is only 36 mpg.

2000 GL1500SE, can average anywhere between 35 and 45 depending on the riding. Start getting the 15's around 70mph and they use start sucking gas a little harder, I also pull a trailer. Lots of variables in the mileage calculation.

I will be surprised if the 20011 models don't have a 6th gear. It took Harley until 2006 to respond to the public cry, but that's typical of an American company. Come on " Hirohito " , wake up and drop the RPM's.

I get around 40 with a mix of highway and back roads. I use the mid-grade fuel and try to find stations without ethanol. A 6th gear would be nice.

My mileage is 48 mpg Cdn (39mpg USg). I average about 70mph on the highway (110 kph) so the Smokies usually leave me alone. On the 4 lanes where the limits are higher, I rarely go more than a dime over to avoid those non-refundable coupons. Tax is inevitable, so why volunteer for them?

mileage

My lifetime average (110,000 miles)i s right at 40 mpg. My poorest mileage is on cold days (below 45F). I ride a lot at 85mph.

With 10K on my '08, I continue in a range of 38 to 43. Milage killers are speeds over 70, head winds, and higher than needed rpm. You have heard it here before, regarding a 6th gear, been there done that, 5 speeds are much better, and the new '12 models continue with the tried and true 5 speed.

I have 3,000 miles on my 2010 and with ten gas reciets I averaged 39.7. Thats hyway and back roads at all sorts of speeds so I'm happy. Two weeks from tomorrow I head south for my first big trip so we will see how I do.
