When I was in the cowboy shooting sport I was the Rawhide Kid. When I started using the media I kept that handle. One day I commented on a guy who responded " you ain't no kid". So I became Oldhand, at 71 it fits.
I also did Cowboy Action Shooting for a while. My handle was Four-Bit; I ain't no two-bit gunfighter. I enjoyed it but work started getting too busy and let it drop. I hope to pick it back up in 21 months and 22 days. But who's counting.

Okay Taco Bender explained how it happened that he got his Screen name.

I was wondering, because mine always crack they never bend.

I saw this done on other sites & posted on a Nighthawk site (so I know where DetDrBuzzard comes from, but I'll let him tell you).

Tell us how you picked your screen name. Even if it is obvious Two Wheel.

I'm Fossil92. Storyline is Sister, Brother-in-law & I started Formula Ford/Continental race team. Team name Fossil my car was #92

Let's hear it boys & girls.
TowedJumper. I was in the Army from 1994 to 1997 and was an Airborne Infantry paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. I had a couple of friends have bad jumps (two in my platoon ended up with broken backs but ended up walking again after rehab) and the thought of a bad jump and what it can do to you kind of stuck in my head. I had one myself (bad exit) and its one of those things that really gets etched in your mind. In this particular case, when you have a towed jumper they are pulled along behind the aircraft and usually very closely to the door so they kind of repeatedly bounce off the side of the aircraft at 105-120mph while the rest of the airplane jumps out. When I got involved in gaming that mental image kind of stuck with me and thats what I chose for the name. TowedJumper. Wearing you down with a repeated beating. Now that I think about it, long distance riding on a bad seat kind of does the same thing which is why I am buying my first goldwing now, should be here Saturday.

Great explanation, are you getting a new 2021 Goldwing?
Don't I wish. No, I went with a 2018 version (Tour, Manual, Pearl Hawkseye Blue) and load it up with accessories. The 2021 pricing would have been stretching my budget as it was and I would have had to leave things like a Utopia Backrest, Pathfinder LED foglights and Goldstrike highway pegs on the shelf. This way I get a newer model chassis, beautiful color and all the bells and whistles I could want.

For those of you looking for a Utopia backrest, order them directly from the company. They are on a 2-3 week backorder but you can get them, I just ordered mine and my shipping date should be right around 3/29.

I watched my father retire and then he ended up being busier than when he wasn't retired. With these kinds of comments I am not looking forward to retirement at all, not that I am anywhere close.

true'rrrr words were never mentioned, YES, I am now busy'rr than ever, BUT I'm actually enjoying it more ,cause I now have no more 2:00 am, no heat calls, NO MORE responsibilty, or worries, i just meet up with the guys at a restraunt for a paid in full breakfast, and let someone else take the lead, and I just help with the installs.............and cash payment is handed to me, at the end of the day...Once it warms up a bit and I can take my bike out of the garage, I'll start to really enjoy my Retirement .. I'm now 70 yrs old, (and still have not slow'd up yet) I now go snow skiing during the week, and walk every morning 3-6 miles a day..............and try to sneak out of doing my wife's "honey due" chores if at all possible.........lol

Well as boring as it can be, mine was also my CB handle for a while ago. I've spent 5 decades riding the skies in some kind of metal tube, mostly from the pointy end. It just always seemed to fit.
Welcome! Did my share of exiting said metal tubes built by the lowest bidder, in a parachute also built by the lowest bidder. Makes me crazy, stupid, or both. I love flying though and if I had my choice of careers and could do it again, thats what I would choose.
