Okay Taco Bender explained how it happened that he got his Screen name.
I used to race Bultaco M/C's and thats where taco bender comes from hehe.
I was wondering, because mine always crack they never bend.

I saw this done on other sites & posted on a Nighthawk site (so I know where DetDrBuzzard comes from, but I'll let him tell you).

Tell us how you picked your screen name. Even if it is obvious Two Wheel.

I'm Fossil92. Storyline is Sister, Brother-in-law & I started Formula Ford/Continental race team. Team name Fossil my car was #92

Let's hear it boys & girls.

HVAC was part of my career but boilers were plumber / fitters work and I didn't jump crafts. I did mostly industrial and commercial sheet metal projects.

I watched my father retire and then he ended up being busier than when he wasn't retired. With these kinds of comments I am not looking forward to retirement at all, not that I am anywhere close.

true'rrrr words were never mentioned, YES, I am now busy'rr than ever, BUT I'm actually enjoying it more ,cause I now have no more 2:00 am, no heat calls, NO MORE responsibilty, or worries, i just meet up with the guys at a restraunt for a paid in full breakfast, and let someone else take the lead, and I just help with the installs.............and cash payment is handed to me, at the end of the day...Once it warms up a bit and I can take my bike out of the garage, I'll start to really enjoy my Retirement .. I'm now 70 yrs old, (and still have not slow'd up yet) I now go snow skiing during the week, and walk every morning 3-6 miles a day..............and try to sneak out of doing my wife's "honey due" chores if at all possible.........lol

PS: I just bought a boat this winter (havn't even used it yet) hope to start my fishing again :giggle:

Well as boring as it can be, mine was also my CB handle for a while ago. I've spent 5 decades riding the skies in some kind of metal tube, mostly from the pointy end. It just always seemed to fit.

Welcome! Did my share of exiting said metal tubes built by the lowest bidder, in a parachute also built by the lowest bidder. Makes me crazy, stupid, or both. I love flying though and if I had my choice of careers and could do it again, thats what I would choose.

Well I'm Buzzard here and Buzzard II on other forums. It comes from a long history of hitting very large birds at very high speed on motorcycles. The worst was not a Buzzard but a seagull. I caught it with my left mirror on a K75 RT. I had fementing fish guts stuck in my nose, ears, and helmet. Luckily I had already picked up the Buzzard handle from whacking a Turkey Buzzard on the BRP.
You're lucky, if you hadn't hit that buzzard first, your nickname might have been "dump duck".
I was at dinner with friends from our motorcycle club without my wife. A decision had to be made about departure time of a planned ride the next day. I made the decision of what time to leave without consulting my wife. Some of our friends made a big deal about me not asking my wife what time she wanted to leave. I simply said "I'm the captain on my ship....but I married the admiral in '78". Since that day they call me The Captain, Cap, etc. And yes, we did leave at the time I mentioned to the group.

Isn't it obvious?

Literally, I need to ride at least once a month all year long or I go nuts. More often from spring to fall.

I started out on the vrcc or valkyrie riders cruisers club, so I thought about the machine with 6 cylinders low in the frame. Fits just as well for the Goldwing, currently still have 2 valks and the 07 wing.

Snakebite comes from 1976 when I was shooting a Colt Python in silhouette competition. A friend of mine came by on the firing line and said, "that snake bill bite you." He said, "from this day forward you're handle is Snakebite." I then started using it as my handle in blackpowder shooting competition as well and since some of my riding buddies also shot competition, they started using it. It stuck all these years to the point where some don't use my real name today.

I liked the cinnamon candy, "Fireball", a lot growing up. So I kind of used that as a old CB handle when I was messing around with the CB in my younger life. I had purchased an 2005 GL1800 bike when I retired.. The GL1800 was Black Cherry red which I adored that color (now I have a 2021 but I sure do miss that Black Cherry Red GL1800). At that time, I jumped on some of the forums, (like this), and tried to use just Fireball, but it was already taken. So I just combined the two Fireball and 1800. 🍬🏍 I'm also a little speedy when I ride the GW, so the wife will (often) say ok Fireball (among other expletives) cool it, when I'm going to fast for her. Ride Long and Prosper my friends... FB

So in hearing all the reasons why, I’m thinking my choice lacks imagination. But anyway…

I’ve long been a Canadaphile, from way back when I was in high school, and even then I listened to the CBC, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. When it came time to come up with an email address, I chose, more as a descriptor than a life statement, CBCListener, which I’ve used in many places, as much to let others know they’re dealing with the same person were they to encounter me elsewhere. It’s also aided in ferreting out other Canadians. Although the flag next to one’s screen name here kinda gets to it first.
