I have to admitte that I lost my mojoe with the Sabre. We went back to Adelaide and I road the Sabre to Quirindi. And this is after I needed the stator replace. With 100 miles to go to Quirindi the speedo went west and with 20 miles to go the CDI unit had a bit of a dummy spit.

With 157,000 miles on it I was starting to think.....................maybe it is time to retire the Sabre. I was thinking the speedo will be imposiable to find. I got to work on the Sabre today and found that it is the speedo and not a cable or the drive, so I went down to the local bike shop and found that there is a gauge repairer just one hour away. So the Sabre will live on.

I have a spare CDI unit in Mannum and I will have the Sabre running like a sports tourer in no time.:grin2:

I for one have much faith in both that spannerman and that mighty steed.

After all I need something to ride if I ever return.:grin2:

Cool beans man! In the immortal words of Dennis Gage, "treasure the timeless classics" Of course, he was talking about cars but hey, it still works.
