My plans are locked in.
I am re-visiting the old route @crownfire, Ken and a few others rode to get to Seneca Rock.
Leaving on Wednesday Aug. 16th via the Back of the Dragon and HWY219 to Princeton, WV. Then through Elkins 33 on to Coudersport.

Surely this is a better route than slabbing the entire way.

Here's my "Road to Coudersport" - I leave on Thursday - kind of boring, until I get to Cortland, Ohio to have lunch with the pastor that led me to the Lord - then it's on to the twisties from there to the fun in COUDERSPORT!

Let's see some others post their "Road to Coudersport"...

Hey Phil.......we're leaving the 16th after work and headed to Waynesboro Va to bed down..... then early on the 17th we will be heading almost the exact same route....maybe a meet up to arrive in Coudersport together? Bless you're running it all in the same day....

Holler at me....

Wow!!! Wow!! Hangin with the Rondina's. That would be awesome.....My planned ETA into Elkins is around 10:30am give or take. If we can work it out, that would be cool.

Ref: When you exit off I99 onto 350 at Bald Eagle there is a " Snappy's Convenient Store " on the right. Pull in and wait there. Our group should be passing by there Friday early afternoon. We'll pick you up.
Sounds great Lee, if I am not there an hour after y'all get there, go ahead. Snappy's sounds very Convenient.

I know

I'm fairly close. Actually I think Superdave is the only one closer, maybe the Badriding Canadians but anyway my plan is to stretch it out a bit as we are meeting the Aussies and the Illinois connection on the 16th at the Westgate.

Here's my intended (at this time) path

I like the google maps better than MapQuest. Its seems much more user friendly.

Day 1, 15th
https://goo.gl/maps/wZgFtGToob82
Meeting Eddie somewhere around Nashville.

Day 2, 16th

Eddie suggested Pickle Bill's for lunch.

Day 3, 17th
https://goo.gl/maps/3w4FwNEJne22
Although the part from Geneva to Coudersport is speculation on my part. Eddie and I are meeting Bill& Janice and the Hoons for lunch. He mentioned riding back via the east bank of the lake to visit some wineries.

Two weeks from now it'll be hard to get to sleep early. I'm planning an 04:00 KSU to time getting through Memphis and Nashville at the right time; before and after rush hour.

You, I can put up with it. Go ahead. We'll toast to those not present.

New rear tire is on and feels great, and today I ordered a windshield deflector to help quiet down the cockpit some more. Also have oil and a filter on the way, going purdy controversial but still in spec according to the book for my bike. I am gonna use Castrol Actevo X-TRA Semi-Synthetic 4T Engine Oil in 20w50, I used to run that in my racing ATV for desert racing and loved it. It is always hot down here and I ride all the time so figure this stuff is worth a shot.

Anyway, I think I am purdy much inked it for the trip now.

Changed my oil last week (Mobile 1 10W40 Full Syn.)
Putting the new rear tire (Pirelli Angel Sport GT Motorcycle Tire) on today...........

That means, barring a last minute catastrophe, I should be all set.:deadhorse:

Picked up the Mobil 1 on the way home from work last night. Oil change today, wash the trike and do a general maintenance inspection. After that, if I don't find anything we should be good to roll.

I did my neglected spring cleaning last weekend so it's all shiny and will slip through the wind easy. I got off work early enough yesterday to ride the long way home and then change the oil. Topped off the radiator reservoir and tightened the bolt that always seems to loosen on the mirror wings. Tires look good, now we wait for Christmas morning.....:present:

Sure looks fast, don't it!
