On my 93 1500, my door lock on my right fairing pocket has quit working. Does anyone know how to get the locked cover off without breaking it? Can i force it with a screwdriver or drill out the lock? The spring cover to the lock broke and i believe part of it feel down into the key slot making the lock inoperable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

Mine did the same thing, if you have a spare key gently tap it into the lock to get the cover off then replace the lock.

Did you try something like WD40 sprayed into the lock to see if it would free up the lock??

You might try a strong magnet.
That was gonna be my suggestion, but you beat me to it... Guess us Texans think alike on some things.
