Rear Axle

Hi I'm new and I need help. I have a 1978 GL-1000 and I need to replace the rear brakes. How do I get the rear Axle off? I took the nut off of the left side but how do i pull it out? I have the tire lifted already and the bike is supported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

try lifting just the tire up slightly to get the weight off the axle
You've removed the axle's nut on one end. Go to the other end, look for a PINCH BOLT. Even with the weight of the tire, you SHOULD be able to pull that sucker out.
