Recently removed trunk and bags as a unit to replace rear tire and brake pads.Upon next ride found my radio output much lower than before. Took seat back off, found nothing obviously loose or not connected.Have stopped using radio in meantime as not to possibly damage it. It is a '94 1500SE. Hope someone has the answer i need. Thanks to all.

drmcmtru, Not meaning to talk down to you but did you check to see if you may have hit the mute button on the left hand switch?

Just a thought.

Mute button can be hit very easily, also check the mute sensitivity knob. If it's not them then in the relay box, which is next to the fuse box there is a 5 amp fuse at the bottom of the box., it is labeled back-up fuse If I remember correctly. If that is blown the radio volume will be very low. Let us know what you find
