Anyone have an issue with their radio display on startup? I have a 2010 model and sometimes the display goes dark on startup. I turn the key off and keep trying until it finally stays lit, so I can listen to music.
I really do not want to take it to the dealer, but I may have no choice.

I've never had it happen to me, but it could be a loose connection..

Under the dash in front of the ignition there is a connection for the display, it could be loose. If you don't want to mess with it call the dealer and make an appt. they should be able to do it in 10 minutes.
Since your in San Diego I guess you got your bike from a dealer down there. Which one? Fun Bike Center or Escondido Cycle center? You can take it to any dealer for warranty work if the radio display is more than a loose connection. Escondido used to have a good Gold Wing man there.

It did happen to my 2010 once and only once and I put 17,000 miles on it last year. Been fine since so I give it no thought
