looks like I have to take the dang bike half apart just to remove the cap...what a joke! I knew i should have got an old Harley

You would have to take a Harley completely apart to replace the radiator cap!!!:rolleyes:

That and after you took the HD apart, you still wouldn't find the rad cap:D

Yep, its like when I was told by a mechanic that I needed to replace the water pump on my VW Bug. :eek:

Hey Budoka, are you getting to ride up there yet in the Far North? Geeze, we have skipped spring down here and gone straight to the mid 90's. Gonna be a scorcher down here. :(

Some guys are, but I haven't yet. The snowstorm last week put the binders on that but it's almost all gone again; just so freaking sloppy out yet. My baby turned two the other day and I couldn't reward her with a trip so I apologized...all I got was the silent treatment, go figure
Back to the O/P, what year is your Wing and why do you need to get at the cap? If your coolant level is low, you should be adding/repacing the a/f into the overflow bottle.
