Prospective winger

After some time researching around for my next bike and starting to look closely at the Goldwing series I have decided to look into owning one.
I'm looking for a reliable sole transportation vehicle to replace my dead gz250.
Saving up from a new job so I'll have 3-4 more months to research, look around and network.
Would craigslist or anything else online be the best place to find a deal, or should I not waste the time and hit the pavement around central florida, visiting auctions and through word of mouth.

It is my opinion that a Gold Wing is the ultimate touring bike. Due to its design, it also is one of the top every day rider. Like any complex machine they require maintenance.
Mine is a 95 with 150,000 miles on the odometer but compression is good, runs great, rides great and looks great. Had to replace the cooling hosses and install floorboards but it is worth the investment. Just take your time and figure out what YOU like about thee Wing. Luck and we will se you on the road.
Reliability, shaft drive, quiet running, community support, comfortable for long distances, and trailer hitches are my biggest plus points. Weight was my biggest concern since I'm a 6' stick figure, until I learned about the flat engine and watching maneuvering on youtube. So far my range that I'm looking at is 82 1100 to 92/4, aspencade if I can afford one. So far I found a 83 close by for $500 that I'm tempted to call next week on payday. Due to the fact goldwings aren't kids bikes I don't know what to expect with such a low price.

A bit more searching found that $500 is now $375, "rough shape" good engine key and title.
and theres an 83 aspencade in good shape but no title for $700 close by too.
How many parts are interchangeable? Should I go for them both?
all the parts are interchangable. '83 wings have lower gearing and turn fewer rpm than the earlier 1100 wings and i think tire sizes are slightly different
