Fellow Riders,

I'm new to this forum and Goldwings too.

I'm officially an ex-harley owner as of this weekend. Thought I'd never say that. I've bought (3) harleys in the last several years and loved them all. My last bike was a 07 Ultra Classic which the wife and I rode in (7) states, great bike..great memories.

But now on to a bike I have always wanted to own, a Goldwing. I rode one last month and I've been researching them ever since.

I know I want a 1800 model...a 2007 and up. At least that's what I feel now.

I'd like to hear from anyone interested in helping with good insight or research while trying to make my first Goldwing purchase.

Thanks,
Ride Safe

Well you have come to the right place. We are a bit biased but you would expect that eh. I have an 08 1800. Best Goldwing I have ever owned. They include an 83 1100, 86 1200 and a 90 1500. Mine has the comfort, navigation and ABS. I would recommend those options for sure. I stayed away from the airbag model. Nothing really technical about that decision but I preferred the look of the dash and placement of the radio controls etc on the non air bag model. It's all in what you prefer. Your used to a bigger bike so the Wing will be a treat to ride. I have added floor boards, highway boards and the rear tour box spoiler to mine. Best of luck.

I had owned 6 Gold Wings and each one is better than the last one, If you look at an 1800 don't go older than 06, 06 to 08 are the same and had improvements over 01 to 05, the 09's have a TPMS an XM radio on them, there are several great deals on used Wings out there now, And the warranty is 3 years unlimited mileage, so check and see if it still has a warranty on it. Where are you located?
