I have a 1982 GL 1100 Interstate. The paint is in pretty good shape except for an issue with the finish over the decals or pinstripes. In som eplaces it looks like you could just about pull it off, an dothers it just looks like the clear coat has lifted off the decal underneath.

Can this be fixed without completely repainting the bike?

Capn, I can only suggest you take it to a guy who either paints or details maybe they can help.

I know on my 95 I had a guy who details wet sand on the pinstriping off. As I said before I'm more a stock appearance guy not into Farkles. It is odd that the clearcoat was put on after unless it is truly a decal. All my guy did was wet sand them off & buff the finish.
