1989 GL1500; original stock exhaust; 25K mi.

On each muffler there is one small pin hole towards the header pipes on each side of the slip-on part of the muffler. The holes are the same size, in the same position and have the same orientation. It almost looks like they should be there. But aren't they really rust holes and their size, location, and orientation sameness just a coincidence? Thought I'd better ask before I fill 'em.

Agree with above, the mufflers on the 15 have slight upward tilt as they go to the back of the bike, if the exhaust doesn't get hot enough condensation builds, the holes allow the water to escape.

Agree with all of the above about the holes being weep holes....Do not fill them as you will cause the inside to rust out completely.
