I sent my front fender in to have painted it is an 1100cc Honda Gold Wing 1982. The color is a ( red wine berry) paint code is R114CU; however, the painter says he can not get the paint as it is a Honda specialty he claims I need order a front fender with the paint on it. I found a chrome front fender and it says its for a Honda 1100cc. It looks different from the plastic one I removed from the bike.

Is there anyone who can help me with this problem? I have thought about repainting the entire bike this winter as I do rebuild and some body work and do a good job of repainting and graphics.

Go to your paint supplier and get them to take a small amount of paint for them to scratch off and then they can match it. Eric

tmilam is right on. Colorite are specialists, they can set you up with your paint and if you can do the prep and paintwork, you're home free. You may notice a difference due to aging with the new paint on the fender and the rest of the bike original though. I think I see a project coming on...
