Yes it is. I have been to the castle of couple of times. I find it so fascinating that I can come over from the central valley in July when it's 100* and over there it can be 65* and foggy...almost surreal.

Yep, Worked there for most of my career. Retired after 30 years with ”The State of California.”

The view from the castle is majestic. Hard to top it really. Hope you are enjoying your retirement...I still have about 8 years to go. On one hand....I want it to get here, but on the other hand I think...wait a minute...I will be 8 years older as well. Let's slow down this train!

Yep, the weeks go by like days, and the days like minutes. I thought once I retired things would slow down. Now I don’t know how I found the time to work? 🤣 “Good luck in your last few years of employment. Retirement is great!” 😉

I pretty much plan my year around my vacations now. Hard to imagine what I will do with more time. Thanks...and good luck to you as well.

When I read about other members trips, I like to google map their points of interest, restaurants or just about anything so I can get a sense of their trip. I have been through your neck of the woods twice...2 cross country trips in the car. Not right through the middle though...one trip was along the Gulf Coast and the other was north through Tupelo and such. Had to stop and put my toes in the Gulf!

It's a 2021 that I traded in my 2010 in for last year. I do like the fastest color.

I really enjoyed your post about your trip and all the pictures. Thank you very much for sharing them and your story with us. I just bought a Goldwing trike and I hope to take a trip like that someday.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I probably should have taken more pictures of the actual highway and views but I get into the ride and forget. The more trips I take the better I will get at it I'm sure. I hope you can make that trip, but really any trip is worth the time.

Congratulations on your trike! I got some good advice on this forum a while back regarding trips...there's 7 days in a week and none of them are "someday." Don't hesitate...as soon as you have the means....do it!
