Hello everyone,
My name is Mike and I’m located in Central Texas. I do not own a Goldwing at the moment but I am gathering information to see if that’s the way I want to go. I currently ride a Pearl White 2007 VTX 1300. I joined an X forum after I made the purchase. I truly wish I had joined before. I’ve had my X about 2 months now and it is beating me to death. I’m 53 years old and should have bought a more comfortable bike. I ride 42 miles one way to work everyday, my back and butt takes a whipping. I don’t want to invest a lot of money in upgrades for the X because I don’t think the VTX is the bike for me. I’m looking to find out as much information about the Goldwing as possible.

hello and welcome mike, that cruiser look looks good butriding with all your weight on your tail bone doesn't feel good. the wing may have a more "sit up and beg" riding position but its comfortable, from the 1000s to the 1800s

Thanks guys for the replies, I'm going to gather as munch info from this site and try to make an informed decision. Wish I had done my homework before buying my X. After 40 miles I can feel it in my bones.

Welcome from another old fart in Texas!:D
My daily ride is 30 miles each way, and riding the 'Wing is almost as comfortable as the Cadillac. Mine is an older model('81 Interstate), but it rides smooth as glass, and my butt hasn't gone to sleep on me yet.
Go ahead and jump on a Wing...you'll love it.
