Hello. I just bought three gl1100's all in good running condition. All bikes have 40k or less, well maintained and used at least a few times a year. I have a hard time squaring the fact that these bikes last, they run well and they are INEXPENSIVE. Lots of tips to read up on here. I'd love to hear about the experience of others who have owned a gl1100. Thank you.

Thank you. So I've lots of questions. Why are there so few people, i e motorcyclists who don't get how great old goldwings are? At 40 odd years old these things are holding up better than me and some folks I've known. I'm interested to hear what my peers have to say. So by this a peer is someone who currently runs a gl1100, is cheap when it comes to new clothes and willing to spend 600 bucks on a set of custom work boots that don't hurt your feet.

Welcome to the forum, Davey and congrats on getting a Wing.
Hello and welcome to the new members.
After years of watching my riding partner clock the miles in comfort on his 2018 Goldwing, I decided to dump my 2017 Yamaha FJR Sport tour and buy a 2022 Goldwing Tour. No regrets, love the bike. A few extras included a back rest for me, small passenger arm rest for the wife and a set of Aero flip out highway pegs to stretch the legs. Updating the NAV system tomorrow while I wait for the snow to melt.

Welcome to the forum and the sporty comfort of a Goldwing.
Plz forgive, boy out Bush and not much on forums. Lols. I think I have two pics of the sidecar I'm building for my retirement Ride / Camps all over Aus. Hey I will get there... on a Wing and a Prayer.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for all of the photos.

Hi folks,

My name is Jim - another Jim.

I bought my 2022 Goldwing DCT early last year from a local dealer here in New England. I had an Indian Challenger Dark Horse on order in early thru mid 2022 and put up with the waiting game for about 6 months before bailing.

I ran across my Goldwing shortly after as a delivered bike to the dealership without the intended buyer, and quickly snatched her up. I am so glad I did...

I'm 56 years old and 2023 will be my third full season of riding. I rode my first year with a older starter bike, a 2002 Suzuki Intruder 800 that I nick named First Love, which was great for learning but can't begin to compare with the performance or comfort my Goldwing delivers.

I had the opportunity with a more experienced rider friend to do a 10 day 2 couple trip last summer, with chase car, from Maine via ferry to Nova Scotia for a Cabot Trail ride. That was an awesome & memorable vacation. It was also when I concluded the Goldwing was the right choice for me.

I just brought my ride out of winter slumber yesterday and rode her to the local dealer for a sticker, service and some tires today. I am so looking forward to exploring new curves & visiting old ones this year. The honeymoon with this machine feels like it's still there. Goldwings just rock.
