Greetings:
I guess I need to send an intro, as it's the polite thing to do.
My wife, Donna, and I are rather new to Gold Wings. We purchased our 2008 Pearl White L3 in Jul07 and have put a little over 10K on her just riding local trips with our church club. Our 2-up riding is limited to spring and fall, as Donna is prone to discomfort in extreme cold and heat, even with the right clothing; however, she can ride all day and loves it when the weather is right.
I have put most of the miles on the Wing. I use it as much as possible. As my office is at home, the only commuting I do is errands, and vacations are scarce with the rough work schedules we have. One of these days we're going to take "the big trip." I can't wait.
In the Nashville area, one of my favorite locations to ride is the Natchez Trace (a two-lane highway with limited access and no billboards, just nature). We've done about 100 miles of the top end at various times of the year and have thoroughly enjoyed it. There are historical sites along the way. If you get the chance, ride it; it stretches from Natchez, MS to Nashville (a little over 400 miles).
Well, that's enough of an intro, I think.
Happy Riding!
