A newbee here. Just came over from ST-Owners.com. Currently have an '04 ST1300 in my stable. I have spent a small fortune on farkles trying to make a comfortable long range tourer out of the ST. The bike is much improved from original factory comfort but Im still not happy. I have resorted to bar risers, custom saddle, highway pegs, backrest, peg lowering kit, Alaska and AirHawk pads. After all this farkling riding still ceases to be fun and starts becoming work after about 300 miles in the saddle. My shoulders go from tired to painful at about this point. Don't think there's much more I can do to improve comfort except trade the ST in for a Wing. I formerly road an '87 1200 Aspencade. Sold it after a run in with some deer several yrs ago. About three yrs ago decided to get back into riding but wanted something smaller that 1800cc. Had hoped the ST could be converted into a mini Wing but its not working very well for me. Thinkin bout goin back to another Wing. Still dont want 1800cc but cant find anything with the comfort of a Wing in the 1000cc class. I should mention that I have 29" inseam so BMW is out for me. Joined this forum in hopes it might help me make up my mind about coming home to a Wing or just sticking it out with the ST for a little longer.

hello and welcome to goldwing owners forum, have you tried a 1500?
Nope just the 1200. Would be open to a low milage 1500 in good shape. I hear theres not much weight difference between the 1500 and the 1800.
