I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream and bought a Goldwing. Best decision I ever made. What a ride. It is a 1998 and the previous owner and I really did not have much time to go over all of the operating systems. I feel like an idiot having to ask this question, but I am lost. It is an SE model and has the additional driving lights on the lower front fairing. I have been unable to figure out how those are operated. The owner's manual makes no mention of them. Are they suppose to come on with the headlights?? I have not had it out yet in the dark, so are they maybe photoelectric operated?? Again, I figure the answer is going to make me feel like an idiot, but I am truly lost. Thanks for any assistamce you can provide.

i am not sure about your bike, but on mine, there is a small button switch that i push to turn these lights on. look on the right hand side, next to the pocket with the cover you can remove.

They were corning lights until 98 then they became driving lights, they come on with the low beams, if they are not on with the low beams than they are burnt out, not a big deal to replace them. They were factory equiptment on the SE model only, others have added them to the aspencade and interstate model and put them on a switch so the could turm then on and off when they needed them.
