Well you've asked the age old question.. Honda recomends oil change every 8,000 miles on the GL1800. Some folks do the first change at 4,000. I see others on the board that change at 2,000, and some that have changed it as soon as they got the bike home. I personally have 2,000 on my Wing and I'm planning to change the oil shortly. I'm putting in Honda synthetic blend. I used it on my 98 GL1500 for years and never had a problem.Thanks for all the welcomes. I do have one small question. When is the first oil change and can I change it myself. I want to put Amsoil synthetic in when the time comes for th first change. Thanks again
