Hello everyone!

I have been wanting a Goldwing for quite some time now, and am just about ready to purchase one. I went to the local dealer yesterday and found out they did not have any 09 models available. He did however say that he had a crated 08 model in black!! There is something about a crated motorcycle that appeals to me. No one else has touched it (save for the people crating it) and I would just love to take pictures of it being removed from the crate and set up for me to take it home!

Ok here is the dilema I have and PLEASE I would like to hear from CALIFORNIA owners what their OTD price was on their 2008 wing with ABS, Navi, primium audio. I have been quoted 22,500 OTD from OTD Cycles and wonder if anyone has had a better deal than that? I do understand that people get much better deals outside of California, however that would not help me at all since I am in California.

Is there anything else I would be missing from the 09 model save for the tire pressure monitoring, and the XM radio? Also what are the average MPG that everyone has been getting?

Glad to be part of the forum and look forward to getting my Wing and getting some miles on it!!!

First let me say welcome to the board and I hope you find the Wing your looking for. Although I'm not in CA, actually all the way over on the east coast in PA, I think you could probably do better price wise. I just purchased an 09 and got $4,200 of the MSRP. The bike you are looking at has a MSRP of $23,099. So I would think that something more in the neighborhood of $19.5k would seem more reasonable especially since it's an 08 model. Just my opinion, but it never hurts to shop around.

Hope you hear from someone in CA that can let you know what they paid.

Does anyone know what the invoice price is on them? Thanks for your reply, I was thinking more like 20,500 OTD...19,500 would be great but here in Ca. I would bet that woud be an unheard of price. I do hope I am wrong and you are right though! Hopefully someone else will chime in soon.

Ok invoice of the 2008 goldwing with audio, navi, and ABS is $21,089 and the best they would do is 22,700 OTD. There was a guy that bought the bike I was sitting on yesterday...as I was standing there this afternoon and he paid 26,000 OTD!!! OUCH!!

I came up next to him on the road as he was trailering it out and asked him. I will have to mull it over tonight and decide if that is good enough for me.

Well I decided that it was good enough to just pay tax and license over the invoice price and I bought the bike! It is still crated so they will have to transport it up from Long Beach hopefully on Tuesday of next week. I am pretty excited, I got the color I wanted with all the options I wanted. Life is good! :)

Woo Hoo I picked it up yesterday!! What a sweet looking bike, I am so happy I finally got the Wing!! It looks awesome sitting there in the best color (BLACK) :)

The dealer came through with lots of crated pics etc. I will post them when I get get them emailed to me.

I just got done with the initial seating of the rings break in procedure...off to buy the regular 10/40 motor oil for the first 1500 miles. (the the odometer now reads 34 miles) Goodbye metal shavings and aluminum particles!!

The bike is amazingly smooth and feels great to ride. I was really impressed by the comfort. Lots of gadgets to keep me happy too..and the radio can actually be heard while riding (which was surprisinng too)

Can't wait to get some farkles and put my mark on this bike. :D
