Thanks to all of you who responded to my querry on what to look for and watchout for. It was all useful information.

I did pick up a 1992 Aspencade with matching trailer just today.

It is was too cold to ride today so I trailored it home. Waiting for a good day to ride.

We are temporarily climate confused...

Thanks again.

Congrats JJ. Enjoy that new ride. Spring is right around the corner and soon you'll be grinning from ear to ear; that is if you have 2 ears.

Wow...what a welcome. Thanks for making me feel right at home. I will have to work on taking some pics to post.

I need to see about what can be done about unwanted stickers and pink pinstriping.

I hope the pinstriping was recent as the rest of the paint could be a bit faded...right?

I just finished reading my owners manual and am thinking that I probably should take the bike in to be totally gone over.

I have no records from the previous owner dealing with maintenance.

Thanks again to all

There could be a difference in the paint under the pin striping. Easy Off oven cleaner will usually remove the pin striping easily. You can try it on a place that not too noticeable. Dab a little on with a rag and let it set a bit then wipe it off.

Another welcome from down south in sunny Texas. Did a 150 mile ride today two-up. It was a bit warm but otherwise a great day for riding.
