Hello everyone,

I'm Robby Thompson proud new owner of the 2021 Honda Goldwing Tour (GL 1800). Experienced rider I've had my motorcycle endorsement for about 25 years now. I took a small break from motorcycle ownership and riding just after getting out of the Army. I've got into the hobby or wind therapy again in the last couple of years. I have owned several Honda motorcycles 1997 Honda CBR 600 F3, 2019 Honda Rebel 500 ABS, 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT and now 2021 Honda Goldwing Tour 6 speed manual. I have also owned a 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R purchased new while I was stationed in Germany. This is the motorcycle that I owned and sold a few months after getting out of the Army 2004. (we had a daughter on the way). The Goldwing was always a dream to purchase many years ago however until recently moving up through the ranks in the telecommunications industry I can afford one now. Plus our children are getting older and becoming more independent. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of the owners here, I would say keep you feet and your knees in the breeze but with all these fairings and windshield barely have a breeze however the electronic windscreen is nice to lower and feel the breeze while not on the highways and interstates. I'll be looking around the forums hope to catch up with a few of you soon.

Have a blessed day and ride safe,
Robby

Welcome to you from Mississippi. I traded my 2010 in for a 2021 model, the same as yours. Love the ride. Virginia has some great roads and lots of historic sites to visit. I'll be by eventually. Here is a picture of my old and new bikes.

Thanks, old and new of mine. The Rebel that’s the Blue Ridge Parkway near Afton Mountain live only 10 to 15 minutes from there.
Look for a new ride here in North central Virginia called the Bulldog it’s about 114 miles.
the BP station in Goshen is an official stop on the route and patches are available there if you’re into that sort of thing.

Welcome from Fredericksburg, VA. We have a few of us that grab some lunch rides in the weekends if you’re interested. You are in a great area and one of my favorite rides.

Absolutely, a group I ride with around these parts also do a lot of weekend lunch rides. This weekend we are escorting a bus of veterans and their spouses. Very proud being able to escort being a veteran myself. Definitely send me heads up on some rides.
