Good afternoon,
I am proud to say that I am the owner of a 1976 GL1000. This is the oldest bike I have owned and the first touring bike I have owned. It is stock on all parts except for the aftermarket Vetter fairing. I am wondering if there are any tips you would give a young Goldwing Rider (19 Y/O) Being riding or maintenance tips with this classic bike.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting a Wing. Several members here are very familiar with maintaining the older bikes and will be able to give you some tips.

Welcome from the northern tier of PA. If you are not familiar with large bikes try riding in a parking lot to get a handle on it. Enjoy the forum and ride safe.

Congrats on the new bike. Regular maintenance is essential. Oil and filter, brake fluid, coolant and final drive, clean lube drive splines and pins.
Just remember, this is not a sport bike. While it handles well, it is not a racer.
