Hi all. I just bought a 1981 Goldwing GL1100 with 60k. I have not had a bike in 30 years. It's good to be riding again.
I have always admired the Goldwings. And now I'm an owner!
Can you help with my questions.
The neutral light never goes out. I'm not crazy about the round head light. Would a newer model faring fit my 81? Anyone know a good painter in the Chicago area. I'n not crazy about the brown color and want to go black.
The previous owner said he pulled the fuse on the radio because it drained the battery. What would cause that?
Can you recommend a good headset for me and my passenger?

Welcome to the GWOF where we have some good people & discussion. Can't help with most of your questions but J&M makes a very nice headset.

Welcome from Central Washington. You'll enjoy this forum and should get answers to most questions, usually over my head. I just enjoy the riding.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Congrats on getting a Classic Wing.
If the neutral light is staying on, there is a diode that goes bad.

Welcome from Mississippi. Trike Lady had your answer on the neutral light. I have had great luck with J & M headsets. I would think that the radio draining the battery would be from a short. But electrical problems and their answers have always been like majic to me. I hope someone else here can help you with that one.

Thanks to everyone. I will check out the J&M website for the headset.
Where is the diode for the neutral lite located?
