Hello, everyone. I just bought a 1990 GL1500 about 3 weeks ago. I really enjoy riding it, although it's taking a little time to get used to it. I also ride a Kawasaki Vulcan VN2000, which is nearly as heavy as the GL1500 (830 lbs. fueled up) but a totally different riding experience. I bought the GW for taking trips to see my family in Pittsburgh and other places and even quick trips to the grocery store. My Vulcan is very comfortable on long trips, but I don't have it all bagged out, nor do I wish to.

My GW is in good shape and just needs some TLC, like a new bushing on the shifter, some new lamps in the instrument cluster, a few other minor adjustments and fixes.

I also have a '74 CB360.

I look forward to learning about the Goldwing from you guys and contributing where I can.

Welcome Matt. We just did a week two up and had room to spare, and the 1500 has more room than the 1800;)
