My brother has had problem and no can figure it out. Occasionally after a ride and after shut down is when it happens. When he tries to restart he has a false neutral. He has no neutral light and the bike won't start. The bike is in neutral with no gear indicators. Some times after putting it in reverse and back to neutral he might get it started. Now it won't start at all. We have checked the battery, clutch switch, side stand switch, reverse switch and the gear selector switch. We got stranded yesterday and had to leave the bike. Any thoughts or help would be great.

Thanks. The bike is a 1998 wing with around 42,000 on it.
