Hello to all the wingers out there. Don't bother responding, I'm not going to stick around.

I have a 1500 97 goldwing se wouldnt give it up for the world(maybe for an 1800) my last ride before the snow flew was not the best. My altinator went(i think) lost all power and drained my battery.

1.) Could the altinator be rebuilt or would it be best to buy a new
one
2.) When i was passing a vehicle my clutch slipped or someting
the engine lost power but the rpms almost redlined on me
then the gears or what ever did what it was supposed to do
and i wwent on my merry way, until my altinator went out.
What would cause that to do such a thing??

please help, this is the first major thing that has happened to my bike since i bought it new in 98(left over)any ideas would be greatly appreciated TIA

Matt
