Hi All,

I tried to start my 82 GW Interstate without trickle charging the failing battery over night. After 3 attempts the battery finally died.
I went out and bought a brand new one. I trickle charged the new one over night and in the morning all i got was a single "CLICK" comming from where the battery and starter relay are located.
I'm hoping it is only a fuse in the relay.
Any thoughts out there.

Thanks,

Jay

... howdy ... most batteries only have a surface charge in them when you first buy them ... and the overnite trickle still might not have been enough to get the cranking amps up enough ... i always put new batts. on a full charge when i get them ... happy trails ... ronzilla ...

I'd check the voltage to make sure it is 12.4 to 12.7. You charged at 2 amps yes? (Some one correct me if I am wrong please)

Hollo Ronzilla,

It turned out to be the starter relay.
I bought a new one and it started right up.\

Thanks for your feed back.
