First, don't let my handle, Grandpot, get you excited. I came by it honestly as the oldest member of my narcotics squad before finally retiring.

Been riding since I was a kid and always favored Honda. Currently I have a 1999 Valkyrie with over 120,000 miles. Unfortunately, age and ailments are catching up with me and I'm making the 2023 season my last on two wheels. I don't want to trike out the Valkyrie because they just don't make them anymore and I don't want to remove it from the 2 wheel world when there are other alternatives.

I'll start my shopping for a Goldwing next winter. In the meantime I'll hang around here and learn all that I can.

I switch from two wheels to a trike a couple of seasons ago. (at the age of 72) (I still walk 3-6 miles a day/so I keep myself in good shape)
the best $$ I ever spent............. I went Roadsmith trike (for no reason at all) I love ride'n the trike, no more worries about falling over, and then have to pick this thing back up

Welcome to the forum. Your best bet is to purchase a 2006 or newer wing that has already has the trike conversion already done. I have a 12 with the Champion kit, and it is a wonderful machine. This is my bike.

I live in the Free State of South Carolina. Grew up in Yonkers, NY until I knew better. We ride year round from the beaches to the mountains. I have well over 300K miles on two wheels and over 100K on my Valkyrie. At 73, it's just time to settle down a bit.
