I went to my first GWRRA Rally (or any for that matter) this weekend, the Mississippi Rally down on the Gulf Coast in Biloxi. Had an interesting time and Martena even came along with me! Although I was on the bike and she was in her car. It helped that I had to be in Hattiesburg for the first part of the week for a meeting, about half way to the coast. She came down for that in her car on Tuesday and we spent an evening with our son and his girlfriend. On Thursday we went on down to Biloxi. We visited friends by taking a few others for some great seafood in Bay St. Louis on Thursday evening. On Friday we went over to see other friends in Vancleave. The Rally was interesting and I bought a new seat from one of the vendors. The Wingsoft seat sets me back just a little bit and eliminates the bulge that Martena had to straddle sitting behind me. They also had a couple options for the backrest and she liked one of those a lot. I hope this will help her ride with me again and Martena plans on taking some short rides soon to see how it goes. The only riding I did was early on Saturday I headed out along the coast. I stopped at the Biloxi Lighthouse and watched the sun come up over Biloxi Bay. Right before the closing ceremonies Martena tried her luck at blackjack. She was up pretty good at first and really enjoyed herself. I just stood behind and laughed. She started with a little bit of money to loose and it took over three hours before most of it was gone. We had a good time and are really glad to be home.

Pictrures!
First; Biloxi Lighthouse, this in the median of Hwy 90 and was built in 1848.
Second; Dawn on Biloxi Bay from a casino parking garage.
Third; Lighthouse again with a real good looking motorcycle. Cruzin the Coast is going on at the same time and you can see one of the old cars going by behind the bike.
Fourth; Mr. Tommy getting ready for our chapter skit, lucky dude.
Fifth; My new seat. I think we will be very happy on future long trips together. My behind and that seat that is.....

Good deal Mark....I wish our times would have worked better. Heck, I love Biloxi. Especially the Casinos...I don't remember seeing the lighthouse when I was last there. I was probably on the golf course or in Casino. Glad you had a good one.

Mark, Was that the Beau Rivage Casino? Spent some time in Biloxi for Katrina relief work with my sons. Stayed at a church within sight of it. Ever been to the Shedd in Ocean City? Great place for BBQ and Blues
We were at the IP on the Back Bay. I like the Beau Rivage and it could be held there next year. Cruisin' the Coast was going on at the same time and rooms were scarce. Next year we will be at different times and they are looking at options.

Thanks for coming down and helping after Katrina. We lived in Bay St. Louis at the time and a couple church groups came through my neighborhood helping.

It is a modified stock seat so it fits like the original. I traded in mine as exchange. Normally you send in yours for modification but he had a few ready to swap. What I got is the full Monty, Big Seat, something deluxe....with on site modification to the backrest included; it was free. My wife (treasurer) bought me an early Christmas present. But it set her back just over 800.

I definetely like how it sets me back a couple inches. I'm 6' 1" and it gives me a little more room. It needs some break in time but I'm pretty sure that it gives a little more support and will be really good on longer trips. The backrest feels good already.

At Keesler AF Base I'm sure. The town has grown since then and not as sleepy as it once was. Thank you for your service.
