Good morning, I have been researching motorcycles and have a
couple questions. when buying a used motorcycle what would be a
reasonable milage for a used motorcycle? How many miles can one
get out of a engine for a motorcycle? and is there a particular year
that would be best to start at? {ie fuel injection}

... HOWDY ... THIS IS A GREAT SITE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT GOLDWINGS AND OTHERS WILL ADD TO THIS POST ... I AM ASSUMING YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT USED GOLD WINGS ... AS A GENERAL AVERAGE I WOULD SAY THE MPG SHOULD RUN 35 - 50 DEPENDING ON MOTOR SIZE / DRIVING STYLE ... MY TOP MPG WAS 49 AND MY AVERAGE IS AROUND 40/45 ... I HAVE HEARD REPORTS ABOUT WINGS GOING 200k + WITHOUT ANY MAJOR REPAIRS ... THE FIRST F/I WING IS: 85-1200 LTD. ... HAPPY TRAILS ...

150,000 mi on my Wing and the engine/trans is in great shape. Honda has built a quality bike in the Gold Wing from the start. Longivity has a lot to do with how it was maintained. 200K? I dont know. I saw one with over a half million miles on it. Just find one you are happy with and make a good deal on it.
