What a great weekend for a ride. The wife and I both had Friday off so we decided to take the Yamaha up to Memphis for the weekend. Took off mid-morning Friday and it was still a little cool but beautiful. Went up through the Delta to Southaven, MS which is just south of Memphis. On Saturday we toured Graceland. Something my wife has wanted to do for years (that is how I got her on the bike for a weekend). Interesting tour, I never was a big fan like the wife but enjoyed his music. Today we rode back through Oxford and down to the Natchez Trace. Except for around Memphis and here around Jackson it seemed like we had the road to ourselves. Very little traffic and the temperature actually hit 80 today. Big sweeping curves and open road, can't be beat.
The wing is supposed to be ready by next weekend when we have a trip planned with our GWRRA group to Diamondhead, MS. A new chapter is starting there and they have a fun day planned. We used to live on the coast so will spend the night and visit friends. Hope the weather forecast holds up.
