My bike has been garaged for about a month-6 weeks. I went out to start her up and noticed a line or rather a long skinny spot in the map screen. I looks like that spot isn't lit. Im wondering if being cold can cause it? Will it come back after running for a while? Or is it permanent?

Probably permanent. You can get a replacement for around $100.00 on ebay , amazon , or other sellers. Honda wants about $2700.00 last time I checked.

You can replace it yourself. There are a couple helpful post on some of the GL boards . Some of the members on this board have done it and maybe able to help you with directions.
