I've had my '83 GL1100 since 1989, and the maintenance is pretty basic and easy to do, and it continues to run like a dream. It's not that demanding.
I just also purchased a lovely GL1500, and it strikes me that the maintenance routines are more involved and demanding. Which seems just the opposite of cars. Older cars required semi-annual tuneups, for example, whereas late models only at, say, every 100k miles. Oil changes of course, as always, are on strict schedules.
Any comments?
